He is beautiful, sound, muscular, straight, powerful, quick and athletic. He has excellent conformation with a pretty, masculine head; well-shaped neck; sloping shoulder with good withers; a short back; strong loin; powerful, muscular hindquarters; and straight, well-boned legs with good-sized solid feet. Jack has a good disposition and nice ground manners, so he is a pleasure to deal with whether you are on his back or working around him. Jack has mostly been used up in the mountains on the trails and he has also moved cattle in Idaho. He is well-broke to ride and knows his arena skills such as picking up his leads, side passing, forehand and haunch turns and backing easily, but he prefers being ridden outside. Jack has no vices and is good to clip, bathe, tie, shoe, load and haul. He has been taken on dozens of horse camping trips throughout the Northwestern states and eats and drinks well when away from home. Jack needs a knowledgeable rider because he is athletic and responds lightly to cues. This big, pretty 12-year-old gelding is cross-registered in the National Foundation Quarter Horse Association and should be very competitive in the working classes with a bit more polish. Jack is current on all shots, worming and shoes and lives in the Hood River area in northern Oregon. There are three short video clips of Jack under saddle on www.YouTube.com - then type in BB Bar Jack in the search area.
