Deedee's is a cute, friendly
sound little mare who might make a great second horse for a child
for trails and gaming. She was foaled in
1998 and has been ridden by an experienced 8-year-old in the hills, on the
beach and to run poles and barrels. The young girl can go out into the field and
halter DeeDee, bring her in, groom, saddle and bridle her and claw her
way up into the saddle and DeeDee stands there perfectly still. Deedee's
original owner trained DeeDee to do gaming. If DeeDee is ridden fairly
often (even just for a few minutes or a short trail ride), an
experienced beginner can ride her as long as they have soft hands. If
DeeDee stands around for a few weeks, her owner either puts her in the
round pen or longes her for a few minutes to take away her excess
energy. DeeDee is a kind mare who gets along
nicely in a herd, is good to shoe, and loads and hauls well. Because Deedee has
lots of "go", she will do best with a confident novice or someone with a
little more experience - not a timid rider. She is has a good
disposition and nice straight legs and lives in
the Roseburg area in Oregon.
